Its been such a long time since I last updated this blog. My last post was all the way back in April after we had attended the wonderful Miniatura Dolls House Show in Birmingham and here we are with just five weeks to go until the next one!
Life has been busy and there just never seems to be enough time in the day or days in the week. This year is flying by and as I sit here and type, I can feel the air cooling as summer fades in South Wales! Sadly, we have had more than our fair share of sadness this year, with the unexpected loss of loved ones which was a very difficult time. On a happier note, my health is improving by the day, we celebrated an 18th Birthday and we have a new addition to the family: Jessie J, our wonderful, mischievous, energy filled Sprocker Spaniel who fills our day with much needed laughter and energy building, long walks!
:)
Jessie also has a passion for sitting on boxes, especially my half made, ready to complete miniature project boxes! Suffice to say that at the moment she gets more attention from me than miniature making, which will have change soon if I am to be ready for the forthcoming Miniatura Show!
Thankfully, Hywel is ready and has designed and made some new furniture to add to his ever expanding range of 'Rustic Woodland Furniture'. I think they look amazing and they will be available for sale at the Miniatura Show 20th and 21st September 2014
Someone who has been miniature making for us though is Kat Hazelton (Kat the Hat Lady) and we have just had a parcel of wonderful new hats from her which are available from our shop in Swansea Market
Now, after an evening walk, I am off to battle Jessie with those boxes of miniatures and to settle down to an evening of mini making with a tired puppy curled up at my feet.
