New Witchy Shelves and a huge table!!!
I'm spending the day cleaning today, or at least trying too! Hubby has so many projects on the go at the moment, that they are spilling out of the garage into the house (the garage is attached to the house) There is a Cobbler shop in the kitchen waiting for the art mache to dry, the Christmas Cottage has completely taken over the dining room and there are clamps holding shop counters and pieces of furniture all over the coffee table and stool!!! How am I supposed to clean?? Men!!
Anyway, whilst attempting to move things to clean around, I took some pictures :)
Hubby is making a wonderful Christmas Ivy Cottage and inside there will be a very long table and shh, here's a sneaky peek....
Don't look at the dust on my table lol
He has carved out the notched edges and made 2 benches for little people to sit on :)
It even has a corner where there are notches worn out of the wood after years of........ toy making! This large table is going to be the toy makers table in the Christmas Cottage. I can't wait to start to making teddy bear arms and legs to go on it!!
Hubby has also made a similar wooden, smaller shelf unit this week and I have filled it with my leather backed books, scrolls, Bone Dust in glass jars, a silver ink pot and feather quill and some witchy letters. It is currently for sale on my website
Now back to the cleaning and that Dust!!!

ReplyDeleteHi Kate,
Hywel will make any of the furniture I show as empty ones, just drop me an email and you can choose your own size. He loves making them, I have a box full of the tall shelved cupboards, he was like a mad man making them !! LOL
Don't worry about sorting your fimo, I'm in no hurry for the swap, I wont be starting the sweet shop until the new year.

Thanks Debbie and Margriet :) I am going to dress the table slowly over the weekend, I have so many ideas for bits and pieces to go on the table, I have had to write them all down! It's going to be a lovely piece to do xxx
ReplyDeleteEverything looks great! That long table is amazing and I love the way you filled the shelf unit!
ReplyDeleteHywel is a very talented man- the table is absolutely gorgeous! good luck with the cleaning Julia- maybe your hubby is telling you that you don't have to clean by filling up all available counter spaces :)
ReplyDeleteThe little pieces are just great - the finish on the wood is lovely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table!!
ReplyDeleteLucky you, having Hywel making these treasures!
I'm trying to get Alan to get interested in dollhouses, but as he's an electronics geek, all I can see is (maybe, hopefully) LED lighting in the far future, he has so much other stuff in his busy brain to distract him!
Glenda

Thanks Michelle, we are loving making these :)
ReplyDeleteHi Glenda, I wish Hywel was a bit better at electrics, he has to keep calling me to thread the thin wires through the light plugs, I end up just doing them myself!! :)
